Agriculture Department Minister Shri C.Lalrinsanga inaugurated Florists’ Fair, 2019 organised by Mizoram Florists’ Association held at Aijal Club Park today.

The Minister highlighted the importance of having more indigenous flowers cultivation in Mizoram and to boost the economy, proper training and seminars are in need, he added. He said that the Florists’ Fair, 2019 is a good opportunity for buyers and a unique opportunity to meet the local growers.

There are 106 local growers participated and majority of the participants are women. Among the participants, Smt. C.Thanzuali, aged 85 is the oldest.The Fair harbours about 60 different species of potted flower, all are grown and propagated by the local growers.
