10 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 23 Sector Assam Rifles organised a free medical camp at Ngopa Sub Division on 19 Mar 2010 as part of Army Military Civic Action under ‘OP SADBHAVNA’. The camp was organised at Ngopa village and a total of 660 locals including adults, newborns and school going children from across the district were provided free medical treatment and free medicines. Most of them were suffering from gastritis, worms infection, anaemia, skin infections, respiratory tract infections, gynaecological problems and many other disease were treated.
The medical camp was inaugurated by K H Mingthang VCP of Ngopa Vill. The camp was successfully organised with assistance of Dr Lalsangzuala, Deputy Commandant Mary Hranngul SMO, Capt Mary Joy D, RMO and a group of para medical staff of 10 Assam Rifles. The huge crowd of locals at the medical camp were itself giving a proof of a long awaited wish. The area BDO, SMO and VCP of Ngopa have conveyed their thanks and gratitude towards the medical team of Assam Rifles on behalf of Ngopa village. They also requested Assam Rifles to have another Medical camp in coming months.
