Pu Lal Thanhawla, Chief Minister, Mizoram inaugurated today Punjab National Bank Biometric ATM at the Mizoram House, Vasant Vihar premises. The ATM has been constructed without any financial liability on the Government of Mizoram and in fact will generate revenue in terms of rent to Mizoram House. This ATM is the only one in the entire 2Km radius of the Mizoram House and will benefit a large number of people from Mizoram visiting Delhi. They can draw cash through ATM ards of any bank. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister emphasis the importance of banking for the rich as well as for the poor and hope that Punjab National Bank will play an important role in the development and upliftment of the poor in Mizoram as it is doing in other parts of the country. The function was attended by Mrs Lal Thanhawla, Pu C.L.Ruala, MP Lok Sabha, Pu Vanhela Pachuau, Chief Secretary and a number of officials of the government. The Resident Commissioner Mr SP Singh who took the initiative in the venture thank the Chief Minister and the General Manager, Punjab National Bank for having agreed to his proposal and was happy that this has become a reality today
