In its continuous endeavours towards ensuring health care and creating a positive synergy between Assam Rifles and the locals in Mizoram, Lunglei battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of 23 Sect Assam Rifles/ IGAR (East) organised a medical camp at village Bedsuri, Lawngtlai district, Mizoram on 01 Jul 2019.

Project was carried out with the aim to ameliorate the hardships of locals residing in border villages along Indo-Myanmar border & provide basic healthcare facilities to the villagers. A total of 241 villagers including 86 men, 73 women & 82 children attended the medical camp.

On culmination, an interactive session was also organised by the medical Officer to educate the villagers about the various common diseases peculiar to the area and precautions to prevent them.

The endeavor reflects  high sense of responsibility  of Assam Rifles towards local population in border areas. The efforts of the Lunglei battalion was highly appreciated and applauded by the villagers of the area. A heartfelt gratitude was extended to Assam Rifles by the VCP, Bedsuri for the noble deed.
