Aizawl; the 16th March,2022: A meeting to deliberate upon what developmental initiatives can be taken up for MP(RS) Shri. K.Vanlalvena's adopted SAGY Model Village(Phura Village); by various departments within Siaha district, was held at DRDA's Conference Hall, here in Siaha, today.

Shri Lalsangliana, Deputy Commissioner presided over the meeting and in his opening remarks, he stated that Model Villages has been adopted by our MLAs and MPs a few years back,and as per what he had witnessed, the success of Model Village depended more on villagers' attitude rather than on implementing departments' endeavours, he said.

Shri Lalhmingliana, SAGY Charge Officer and BDO Tipa RD Block delivered keynote address on SAGY and stated clearly that no Funds were sanctioned or earmarked specifically for developmental undertakings in Model Village.
However, the purpose of adopting village as a Model village is to identify a village wherein all the departments could chip in their bits to set off processes which lead to a holistic development to improve standard of living and quality of life through improvement in basic amenities.

In SAGY Model Village, Implementation of CSS and other various projects which were meant for over-all development for all; must be implemented in such a manner that it produces good results which are worthy of emulation by one and all.

Pu Donny Lalruatsanga, Addl DC, Pu Abraham Beirazi Khithie,PD DRDA and Pu VL Lura Hauzel,SP also spoke at today's meeting and they earnestly requested HoOs presented at the meeting to extend their helping hands to one another and also implored Phura villagers through their VC members to work in tandem with officials while embarking on a long journey to Development and Progress.

Today's meeting was well attended by Heads of offices and Phura's VC members.
