Dated Serchhip, the 9th April, 2021: A meeting of Serchhip District Level Coordination Committee on African Swine Fever and other trans-boundary Animal Diseases was held today at DC Meeting hall under the chair of their Chairman Mr. Lalmuansanga Ralte, MCS, Addl. Deputy Commissioner.

The meeting discussed various preventive measures to be taken within the district regarding the recent animal diseases found in Lungsen, Lunglei District. They decided to give more awareness to the public and a strict enforcement of the present promulgation order of ban on import of pig and its by-products by the district magistrate, and also resolved to have a safety certification system within the district.
