Dated Aizawl, the 30th May, 2024: A meeting of State Apex Committee (SAC) on Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) was held at the Chief Secretary Conference Hall today under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Dr. Renu Sharma.

In this meeting, State Action Plan for ICJS 2.0 was laid down for discussion with presentations made on the various hardware, software and network requirements for its execution. After adjustments and discussions on the project were made under the chairmanship of Dr. Renu Sharma, the State Apex Committee (SAC) approved the State Action Plan for ICJS 2.0.

ICJS (Inter-operable Criminal Justice System) was approved by Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) in November 2015 with its main objective being to enable seamless transfer of data and information among different pillars of the criminal justice systems like police, prisons, prosecutions and forensics from one common platform, through Cloud data services.

This meeting was attended by Dr. Pawan Bhardwaj, Asst. Director, NRCB; Mr Anil Shukla, DGP; Mr H.Lalengmawia, H/C; Mr Veenu Bansal, IGP (Int); Mr Neihchungnunga, IGP (HQ); Mr R. Vanlalsawta, IGP (Prisons); Mr Lalhuliana, DIG (CID), Chief Informatics Officer, ICT; ICT and FSL Director as well as Law & Judicial and Finance Secretaries.
