My dear people of Mizoram,

As we observe the Armed Forces Flag Day on 7^th December, let us recall with reverence the brave soldiers who gave their lives for our country. The armed forces are the true guardians of our land, maintaining peace and protecting our sovereignty.

As responsible citizens, we can show our appreciation by making voluntary contributions for their cause. On the Armed Forces Flag Day, we contribute for the welfare and resettlement of ex-servicemen and their families.

In this time of increasing conflicts across the world, it is important that we pay special attention to our brave men and women of the armed forces.

As done in previous years, this year too, a fund collection drive is being launched. The funds collected are utilized to provide assistance to needy ex-servicemen and war widows.

Therefore, I make a sincere appeal to all the members of the public to donate generously for the welfare of our service personnel. Let us show gratitude for their selfless service in the best possible way.
