Information and Communication Technology Minister Pu Zodintluanga today inaugurated a two day training programme for Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLE) under Common Service Centre Scheme of NeGP, Govt. of India at I&PR Conference Hall. The training was conducted by Zoom Developers (P) Ltd., approved by the ICT Department, Govt of Mizoram.
Speaking at the programme the Minister pointed out that the objective of the CSC scheme was to develop a platform that can enable government, private and social sectors to align their interest to provide services to the remotest areas of the country. He mentioned that CSC is one of the three pillars envisioned by the National e-Governance Plan through which rural areas will avail government services at their doorstep at an affordable cost. Saying that success of the scheme would be achieved through the unwavering hardwork and cooperation of the company, VLEs and the government, he encouraged all the trainees to give their best effort.
Presiding over the inauguration programme, Pu Joseph L. Ralte, State Head, Zoom Developers mentioned that out of 136 CSCs proposed, 64 had been established so far. Mr. Hemantas Biswas, Guwahati Regional Head and other representatives of Zoom Developers were also present at this programme.
