Power & Electricity Department Minister R Lalzirliana inaugurates National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Study Centre at Thingsulthliah Higher Secondary School on 3rd October, 2019.

Minister R Lalzirliana on his inaugural speech pointed out the importance of the commitment of the teachers and students and not merely the buildings and other infrastructure in an educational institution, thus urged the faculty and students to give their best in utilizing the new study centre upto its full potential. The minister praised the faculty in their enthusiasm in establishing the study centre to make their students digitally literate, stating that basic digital literacy makes lives more accessible to various services, thus saving time, effort and money.

The inaugural program was chaired by Mr Lalsawmliana, VCP, Thingsulthliah and Technical report delivered by Mr Lalfakawma, Principal, Thingsulthliah HSS. The program was attended by Mr Gunendra Singh, Director, NIELIT Aizawl and Coordinator, HSS Managing board members and students.

The Computer Laboratory under the NIELIT Study centre Thingsulthliah will offer Course on Computer Concepts with a plan of 4 course cycle per year. The laboratory comprises of 15 computers and one instructor for the time being.

The minister also inaugurates ‘Upate Run’ Seling which was constructed using Rs. 6.1 lakhs MLA fund.
