Agriculture Minister Pu C.Lalrinsanga congratulated the fresh batch of Mizoram Agriculture Service officers at a function held at the Conference Room of the Agriculture Directorate, Aizawl.

Agriculture Minister Pu C.Lalrinsanga said that the ten (10) newly recruited Agriculture Officers have done tremendously well to be selected among 100 qualified hopefuls. “Agriculture Department is responsible for the agrarian sector which forms more than 60 percent of the entire Mizoram population; therefore, its importance cannot be ignored or downplayed. The onus of taking the agriculture sector forward in the state now falls on your shoulders”, he said.  The Minister urged the new officers to bring in fresh ideas and invest their time, skills and talents in the field of agricultural science to usher in constructive changes into the service and the agriculture scenario.

Pu Lalhmingthanga, Secretary, Agriculture Department chaired the felicitation programme while Pu Rohmingthanga Colney, Director of Agriculture introduced the new recruits.
