Mizoram attempts at entering the Guiness Book of World Records by organising a mass performance of it traditional bamboo dance ‘Cheraw’. Disclosing this in a press conference held at Aizawl, the Art & Culture Minister P.C.Zoramsangliana stated that all necessary registrations for entering into the Guiness Book have been completed and that the Adjudicator, London Guiness World would be coming to witness the mass dance which is slated to be held on 12th March, 2010 (Friday). He also informed that the biggest and most popular Mizo festival Chapchar Kut had to be preponed by a day and will now be celebrated on 11th March, 2010 (Thursday). The Minister further expressed his hope that the event would be instrumental in bringing about harmony and integrity amongst the whole community and said that UPA Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi is expected to grace the function.
