A meeting to discuss the suitability of the offered land for establishment of Rail-fed oil depot and gas botling plant at Bairabi was held at the office chamber of Pu K. Lalrinliana, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs on wednesday. The meeting, presided by the Minister himself, was attended by officials of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Mizoram and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL).

The meeting decided to jointly inspect the offered land at Bairabi on 24th October 2019. IOCL officials were apprised of various issues affecting regular supply of LPG to Mizoram and discussed how to address them. IOCL officials were also apprised about shortage of gas agents in Aizawl which could not cater to the demands of the consumers. IOCL officials promised too look into these issues to come up with viable solutions for all involved.
