Aizawl the 16th October, 2021 : Fifteen participants from Mizoram state for India Skills 2021 Regional Competition were flagged off today by Shri Lalramsanga Sailo, Secretary, Labour, Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Department.

The LESD&E Department had earlier conducted State Level Skills Competition under 12 different trades and the 15 selected candidates from this competition, alongwith 4 LESD&E department officials, left Mizoram 
today to represent and participate in the Regional Skill Competition which will 
be held in Patna, Bihar from 20 - 23 October, 2021. 

India Skills 2021 Regional Competition is one of the largest skills competitions, where there will be more than 1500 participants from different states and UTs. Participants representing the state will participate in 11 different trades 
such as Bakery, Beauty Therapy, Hair Dressing, Electrical Installation, Welding, Carpentry, Fashion Technology, Painting & Decoration, Floristry, Hotel Reception and Plumbing & Heating. 

The flag-off programme this morning was held at Transport Office, Chaltlang where Shri Lalramsanga Sailo, Secretary, LESD&E, before flagging them off, spoke a few words of motivation and wished all the participants success in the upcoming Regional Skill Competition. Also present at the flag-off was Shri K. Lalhmingliana, Director, LESDE, who had words of encouragement for the participants who will represent Mizoram.
