In a huge move for India and the State of Mizoram, one of the largest and most prestigious aero-sport tournaments - the International Paragliding Accuracy Championship 2020 will be held from February 12 to February 16 at Serchhip town, a three hours drive from Aizawl city.

The Organising Committee under the Chairmanship of the State’s Sports and Tourism Minister Mr Robert Romawia Royte has prepared a detailed road map to successfully host the Championship which will see 130 participants from 30 countries. Minister Robert Romawia Royte and the Advisor to Chief Minister C.Lalramzauva, who is also Patron of the Organising Committee has visited the site several times. Technical experts, members of the Mizoram Aero-Sports Association and representatives from the Mizoram Government had also inspected the site which has already successfully hosted the Pre-World Cup in 2018.
