Awareness and Sensitization Workshop on India Enterprise Architecture(IndEA) for Mizoram was jointly organized by National e-Governance Division(NeGD) and Information and Communication Technology(ICT) Department at the Secretariat Conference Hall, MINECO in the state capital, today. The function was graced by Mr Robert Romawia Royte, Minister of State for ICT as the Chief Guest.
In his inaugural address, Mr Robert Romawia Royte, MOS for ICT was stressing optimum utilization of Information Communication Technology for better governance, transparency and accountability to the citizens. He had welcome the idea of utilizing Enterprise Architecture technology for creating a unified platform to replace the fragmented digital services available at present through the state government's various e-Services. He believed that a digital service using Enterprise Architecture technology will promise better deliverance of administration and governance than the existing fragmented and unorganized e-Services, even at the same financial budget. Impressed with the potential of IndEA, he went further to instruct the state's officials present in the workshop to pay close attention to the framework and objectives of IndEA in order to speed up the implementation of Enterprise Architecture technology in the state.
Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, Head of Departments, Deputy Commissioners and Senior Officers were attending this important awareness and sensitization workshop, today. Mr Amjad Tak, Commissioner & Secretary, ICT was the moderator for this event. At the outset of the workshop, Ranjeev Pandey, Principal Consultant, NeGD gave a brief Introduction to IndEA Agenda, Digital India and NeGD Support. Dr Pallab Saha, Senior Lead EA Expert, NeGD gave an insightful presentation on IndEA - Framework and Adoption Guide & Road Map while, Bramhanand Jha, Senior Consultant -PM, NeGD delivered a powerpoint assisted lectures on Best practice principles for designing and delivering government services - Digital Service Standard. NIC, MeitY, Govt Of India also presented IndEA implementation experiences which was followed by an interactive session.
