Aizawl, September 8, 2023: Prof. Dr. A.S. Bijay Singh, the newly appointed Vice Chancellor, ICFAI University Mizoram (Former Vice Chancellor, Nilamber Pitambar University, Medini Nagar, Jharkhand) and Dr David Lawmzuala, Registrar paid courtesy call to Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati at Raj Bhavan, today. The ICFAI Mizoram heads apprised the Governor about the present functioning of the university and the initiatives to be implemented shortly along with the plans for future endeavors.

In this meeting, Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati congratulated the ICFAI Mizoram on their achievements and progress. He briefly commented on the present courses offered at the University. He also urged the ICFAI Mizoram to put more effort on the Skill Development and Vocational Education sectors.

He urged the teaching faculty of the University to continue their efforts and try to impart to the students skills to get jobs outside the state and increase the chances of employability for their graduates. In this connection, the Governor also offered his intervention should it be required.

ICFAI University Mizoram has already implemented NEP 2020.  Currently, 12 courses are being offered. 630 students are enrolled for the current academic session.
