The newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Champhai   Pu S.L Naveen, IAS who took the charge of  DC Champhai  recently  meets leaders representing Mizoram Journalist Association, NGOs and Village Council within Champhai District today.

At the meeting held in DC Conference Hall, Pu S.L Naveen stressed that the task to run and conduct district administration and authority does not confine in the hands of Deputy Commissioner alone, rather it should be a collective work and mutual cooperation from the Civil Society is helpful and highly recommended. Appreciating the vibrant social life and societies operating in the Mizo’s culture, he opined that it plays vital role and contribute enormously in the smooth running of social and government administration, cherish and nourish it well for the future prospect. He reminded them that they are part of the government and being a part of government, asked them to extend helping hands and not hesitate to convey their problems and share ideas to the district authority, approach him whenever they feel it necessary.

At the meeting, the Media, NGOs and VC leaders conveyed congratulatory messages and wished the new Deputy Commissioner in his newly assigned job and pledged their support and cooperation for wellbeing of the district as a whole. The Deputy Commissioner agreed to look into the prevailing problems in the district and take remedial action as far as possible. 

The meeting was also attended by Pu Lalnunfela Chawngthu, Election Officer and Dr. Lallawmkima DIPRO among others.  Pu S.L Naveen, IAS  (AGMUT: 2012) joined the post of DC Champhai on  November 4, 2019.
