A 'Statistical Handbook Lawngtlai District 2018' prepared by the office of the District Research Officer (DRO), Economics & Statistics Department, Lawngtlai District was released by Pu H. Biakzaua, MLA & Vice Chairman, Agriculture Development Board today at the DRO Conference Hall, Lawngtlai.

DRO Pi H. Chhunkungi chaired the release function and gave a report on the preparation and publication of the Handbook. The Chief Guest Pu H. Biakzaua, Guest of Honour Pi Shashanka Ala, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Lawngtlai and General Secretary of the Lairam Isua Krista Baptist Kohhran (LIKBK) Rev. B. Zazawna Lai delivered a speech.

The function was attended by government officials, statistics nodal officers of various departments, registrars of births & deaths, church and NGO leaders and MNF party workers.

The Lawngtlai District Statistical Handbook 2018 consists of several data of Lawngtlai District collected from the Census of India 2011, from the Economics & Statistics Department's Mizoram Statistical Handbook and Village Survey, from various departments of state government, Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC), Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC), banks and churches in Lawngtlai District.
