Aizawl, the 1st October, 2021: Along with the rest of the country, NYKS Champhai has started the month-long cleanliness drive ‘Clean India Programme’ as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav today in Champhai District by cleaning the NYKS Office premises and Bethel locality which was attended by the NYKS Staffs and Volunteers. 

The nationwide programme was launched today by Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Shri Anurag Thakur at Prayagraj. This ambitious campaign is aimed at making India single use plastic free country. He urged all the citizens including the young people to make this campaign a mass movement. 

In Champhai district, the NYKS Champhai is committed to take this campaign to every household. District Youth Officer Shri Dinesh Jangid has appealed to the people of Champhai to take part in this campaign and together we can make our District plastic free. He has urged community members- YMA, Village Councils, Schools, Government departments and all the youth clubs to participate massively in this campaign which will run from 1st October and will continue till the month-end.
