Pu Chuauhnuna, Addl. DC Serchhip inaugurate a One Stop Centre which is newly set up at the top floor of the DC Building Serchhip Today.

One Stop Centres (OSCs) is run under the initiative of Ministry of Women And Child Welfare and The Social Welfare Department is the nodal Department in the State. The Centre is intended to support women affected by violence, in private and public spaces, within the family, community and at the workplace. Women facing physical, sexual, emotional, psychological and economic abuse, irrespective of age, class, caste, education status, marital status, race and culture will be facilitated with support and redressal. Aggrieved women facing any kind of violence due to attempted sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, trafficking, honour related crimes, acid attacks or witch-hunting who have reached out or been referred to the OSC will be provided with specialized services such as legal advice, FIR submission, counselling and any other suitable quick response activity for the victims.

A separate building for the Centre in Serchhip is now under construction in P&E Locality and Today’s inaugurated site shall be use till the new building is ready to commence. There is one Administrator, Pi Lalchhanhimi and other 8 workers such as counsellor, Case Worker, Paramedics, Data Analyst, MTS Workers to run this Centre.
