A Rally was held today in Mamit District Headquarter to sensitize Poshan Maah under Poshan Abhiyaan a nutritional scheme for children.  DC/DM Mamit District Dr. Lalrozama, IAS flagged off the rally from Dinthar junction and rallyed towards the District Programe Officer’s (DPO)  Office of the District as a mark of awareness kickoff regarding the Nutritional Month for children. 

As soon as Poshan Abhiyaan was launched in March, 2018 across India Mizoram State took keen interest with tireless efforts for the implementation of the scheme. As a result of which the state was awarded 250 lakhs cash prizes for best ICDS-CAS Implementation and Overall excellence in Implementation of the Mission on 23rd August 2019.

Poshan Maah (Nutrition Month) 2019 began from the 2nd of September with various themes and objectives to fight malnutrition of the children in the District. The Rally was held by children, NYK volunteers and NGOs with the slogan of the Change of behaviour in each Home (Har Ghar Poshan Vyavahar). The Rally ended with a vote of thanks proposed by the concern DPO of the District.
