The Republic Day Ceremonial Parade saw the participation of 24 Contigents  -  4 armed contingents, 6 unarmed contingents 12 school contingents besides 4 Band Parties. In the Unarmed Contingent, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize winners were 1st CRPF Battalion, 3rd MAP Battalion and 1st  MAP Battalion respectively. In the Unarmed Contingent the Ex-Servicemen Contingent stood first; St. Mary’s School Scouts & Guides Contingent stood second and 20th Indep. Coy NCC stood third. Among the School Contingents, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize winners wereSt. Paul’s HSS, Helen Lowry HSS and Govt. Mamawii HSS respectively.

 This year the Governor’s Gold Medal has been awarded to Sub Inspector V. Lalbiaksanga, Champhai DEF. Pu Saizela IPS DIG (Hqrs) has been selected to receive the President’ s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Pu C Lalthanmawia SP Champhai; Pu Lalmuanpuia Vice principal PTC Thenzawl and Pu Ngurthanzauva Inspector (Training)  MPRO have also been selected to receive the Police Medal for Meritorious Service. Dr. R L Thanmawia has been selected to be awarded the Padma Shri while Pu Khamliana, the National Communal Harmony Award 2011.

 Jeevan Raksha Padak Awards 2011 has been awarded to 6 children from Mizoram. The highest Award – the Sarvottam Raksha Padak has been awarded to C Lalduhawma posthumously. Martin Lalthamawia, Lalremmawia Sailo, Lalpuihzuali, K Lawmsanga and Lalmawizuali have been awarded the Jeevan Raksha Padak.

 In Volleyball (Men) Hunthar Veng were the champions while Nursery Veng were the runners-up. Kanan Veng and Hlimen Veng were champions and runners-up in Volleyball (Women).  TBL Basketball Basketball Club stood first in the 1st Division Basketball and Vikings Basketball Club stood second while in the Basketball 2nd Division BCA Basketball Club and Dawrpui Vengthar Sporting Club were the first and second prize winners repectively. In Hockey 1st IR Battalion was the champion and 1st MAP Battalion was the runners-up.
