The Chief Minister Pu Lal Thanhawla today inaugurated an Exhibition titled ‘Celebration of 25 Years of Peace – Cum – Exhibition’ at the New Secretariat Complex Ground to commemorate 25 years of peace and prosperity in the state since the signing of the Mizoram Peace Accord.  The Exhibition will continue till the 27th January

At the inaugural function of the Exhibition which was chaired by the Chief Secretary Pu Vanhela Pachuau IAS, the Chief Minister Pu Lal Thanhawla outlined the untiring efforts put in by the Church, the NGOs and the people of Mizoram for peace to prevail after twenty years of insurgency and strife. He added that in the last twenty five years there has been a lot of progress and development in various spheres and for development to be fast paced the continuity of peace and tranquility is necessary. He pointed that the hard earned peace must be nurtured with righteousness, hard work and honesty by the people.

The inaugural function was also addressed by MNF Vice President Dr. R Lalthangliana; MPC President Pu L. Sailo; ZNP President Pu Lalduhawma and BJP President Pu Lalhluna. A number of Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries and MLAs in addition to senior Government officials attended today’s function.    

The Exhibition has 135 Stalls – 22 from various Departments, 8 from the Central Government and its Units, 13 from the PSUs and 92 from private entrepreneurs.
