Mizoram Range Assam Rifles in association with Central YMA is organizing "Jubilee Marathon"  to commemorate its 50 years of service to the nation  and CYMA's 75 years of service to the people of Mizoram.

To spread awareness among the people, the marathon will carry the theme "Say no to Tobacco". The event will be organised in two levels - the first event will be held in various Districts and the second level during the first week of September here in Aizawl, the capital. All security agencies, prominent athletes from Mizoram, veterans and children will participate in this event besides the serious runners.

According to an Assam Rifles official, the winner of the 'jubilee marathon' will win a cash prize of Rs.10,000 and similar attractive incentives will be awarded to other top runners. Interested participants are advised to contact their respective local YMA leaders.
