COVID-19 PLEDGE Taking Ceremony under Jan Andolan Campaign was held today by School Education Department, Government of Mizoram in all Administrative offices and schools throughout the State.

The major Ceremony held at Government Mizo High School Field, McDonald Hill was chaired by Mr C. Lalthanzira, Addl. State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha & State Nodal Officer, Jan Andolan Campaign. The State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Mr. Lalhmachhuana noted that Covid-19 pandemic is not likely to be eradicated anytime soon and hence, it is important to take utmost care to stay safe. He also mentioned that wearing of masks, physical/social distancing and frequent handwashing are the three important safety measures that should become our new normal lifestyle, as these simple precautionary measures could save us from falling victims to the virus.

Jan Andolan Campaign on Covid-19 was also held in School Education Directorate as well as in all other District Offices. The District Education Officers have been appointed as District Nodal Officers for Covid-19 in all the districts and awareness campaigns on Covid-19 were organised today in many Government Schools. In today’s Jan Andolan Campaign held throughout the state, all the teachers and students also took the ‘COVID-19 Pledge’.

Besides today’s Campaign, the School Education Department has also prepared an Action Plan against Covid-19 pandemic to be taken up in all the schools and offices under it.
