A meeting in connection with recent increase in Covid-19 cases, chaired by Serchhip DC Mr. Kumar Abhishek, IAS, was held in his office chamber today.

In his opening remarks, Serchhip DC Pu Kumar Abhishek voiced serious concern over the rising Covid-19 cases among the public and reiterated that utmost care should be taken by the entrusted medical teams while carrying out contact tracing of positive patients. It was resolved in today’s meeting that in order to impress better preventive measures on the public, stricter enforcement of Covid19 Ordinance Rules in Serchhip was necessary. Any person found in public without a mask, or violators of any kind of the said rules, shall be given penalty or fines, subject to the rules he/she violates. Police personnel, VLTF and other officials who can give penalty as per the Ordinance were instructed to pursue the decision from today itself.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Lalmuansanga Ralte, Addl. DC, Mr. Vishal Sah, Asst. Commissioner, Dr. Laldawngliana Sailo, CMO, Mr. PC Laltanpuia, Addl. SP and Mr. Kaste Romalsawma, SDPO.
