Lawngtlai, 12th June, 2026 : A spot verification was conducted today under the leadership of Shri Lalhmunsanga Hnamte Secretary, District Council & Minority Affairs (DC&MA), Government of Mizoram, to examine issues relating to the boundary between the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) and Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC).

The verification was carried out at Parva-I area (near Tuichawng), where issues concerning the placement of boundary stones by CYLA members were examined. The team interacted with Parva-I VC and YCA, Parva-II VC and YLA, and Parva-III YMA representatives, and held discussions regarding the status of the boundary and related matters.

Lawngtlai Deputy Commissioner Shri Donny Lalruatsanga also attended the boundary inspection and interacted with the representatives of Parva I, II & III VCs and local voluntary organisations. The groups submitted their grievances and various community-related requirements, and the Deputy Commissioner assured that the matters would be looked into appropriately.

During the verification visit, Shri  Joseph Lalrinawma, Addl. Secretary, DC&MA; Shri  V. Zaithanmawia, Joint Secretary, DC&MA; Executive Secretaries of LADC & CADC; DLAO, LADC; and SDCs were also present.
