Seminar on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Act, 2016 was held at MADC Agriculture Training Hall, here at Siaha today.
Smt. N.Elizabeth DSWO,MADC presided over the seminar programme and Dr.Lalnunthara, Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Government of Mizoram attended the programme as resource person.
Shri. L.Prisila, EM (Social Welfare), MADC also was in attendance of the programme and delivered a speech as well. Shri. L. Prisila Profusely thanked GoM for conducting such a seminar and sending a very renowned resource person as well. He said that this kind of seminar will be very beneficial for stakeholders and exhorted all the seminar attendees to be utmost attentive and gained as much knowledge and awareness as possible.
The same Seminar already get conducted at Chawngte and at Lawngtlai on the 12th March, 2020.
Delivering speeches on the occassion, Resourse person Dr.Lalnunthara said that our conduct and behavior ougth to please our Heavenly God and must as per God's wish.
MADC must care for disabled persons living under its jurisdiction. He said that his friends and family were dumbstruck by his decision of availing voluntary pension and devoted his whole life for this mission.But he had regretted his decision because he knew sure that God was happy with his decision.
God did heal and deliver , when best doctors failed in AIDS and drugs addiction problem.He said that MADC will get blessings from God if her action was in accordance with God's wish and will.
Mizoram has 1.3% of its total population as disabled person and 4% of Goverment job was reserved from them, he added.
