Dated Serchhip, the 1st December, 2020: Serchhip District Development Co-Ordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting is held today at DC Meeting Hall under the chair of their Chairman Mr. C. Lalrosanga, MP, LS and Co Chairman Mr K. Vanlalvena, MP, RS. The meeting is also attended by Er. Lalrinawma, MLA Tuikum & Dy. Speaker, Mizoram Legislative Assembly.

Mr C. Lalrosanga, in his welcome speech expressed his sincere thanks to Co Chairman, member MLA and all other official members for their kind presence and hoped that the committee shall bear  a fruitful outcomes for the people of Serchhip district.  Mr K. Vanlalvena also gave his introduction speech and told officials members their importance for the development of the state.

In the meeting, various centrally sponsored development schemes like MGNREGS, Swachh Bharat, National Urban Livelihood Missions and Urban Livelihood Missions, Jal Jeeven Missions, PMGSY ongoing projects,Poshan Abhiyan, PMMVY, Health programmes, etc are discussed. As many as 82 days job were already done and the other 12 days are expected to come soon in the district. There are 220 live birth since April, 2020 to August and 2 among them were unfortunately dead. In a midyear survey there are 5978 children below 5 years of age and 2 among them were reported dead. So, the infant mortality rate of the period is 9.

The meeting is attended by Mr Kumar Abhishek, IAS, Member Secretary, Mr Malsawmtluanga, MCS< PD & Charge Officer, DISHA, Mr. Lalmuansanga Ralte, Addl DC and all the members of DISHA.
