A meeting to discuss the report submitted by the Study Team to the Committee to consider Advertisement Rates & Retirement Scheme for MJA was held under the Chairmanship of Pu Sangdingliana, IAS, Secretary, I &PR Department at the Office Chamber of the Director, Information & Public Relations Department  on 26th November 2020 at 1:00 PM. The meeting was attended by the following (List of Attendees with signatures is appended):

The Chairman of the meeting Pu Sangdingliana welcomed all the members, especially the representatives of MJA. He pointed that the report of the Study Team was suggestive and amendments can be effected in case of need. He also mentioned various facts on the reason for reduction of the pension amount suggested from Rs. 10000/- per month to 

Rs. 5000/- per month. He invited the MJA representatives to put forth their views.

3. Director, I & PR Department too apprised the members about the report of the Study Team and invited Pu Pratap Chhetri, one of the Members of the Study Team to present the report.

4. Pu Pratap Chhetri elaborated the report and outlined the financial bearings which Pu Lungmuanpuia, another Member of the Study Team supplemented.

5. MJA President Pu Zonunsanga pointed that the proposal was made in a way not to over burden the Government. But on careful study of the report, at this point in time, he said that implementing the contributory pension scheme might be difficult for the Government. He pointed that under the circumstances, another proposal – a direct pension scheme might have to be submitted to the Government.

6. The meeting also discussed the various points suggested by the Study Team. The meeting pointed that administration and management the proposed contributory scheme will be very challenging and highlighted possible problems that might crop in during its implementation.

7. The representatives of the MJA suggested that the organization would work on another pension scheme which will be submitted in due course of time.
