Dated Serchhip, the 5th July, 2024: The Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP) Headquarters in Serchhip hosted a ceremony today at the Serchhip Auditorium, Field Veng, to recognize the district’s top students in the recent HSLC, HSSLC and Mizoram University Examinations. Environment and Forest Minister Pu Lalthansanga graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, Pu Lalthansanga extended heartfelt congratulations to the students who excelled in the HSLC, HSSLC and Mizoram University exams. He emphasized that the achievements of the students are a result of the collective efforts of the students, their teachers, and their parents. The Minister encouraged the students not only to aim for success but also to embrace challenges and learn from failures. The Minister also spoke about the government’s commitment to supporting ambitious and hardworking individuals through a hand-holding policy. He acknowledged the financial difficulties faced by young scholars aspiring for self-reliance and start-ups, noting that the government is actively creating opportunities and providing support for them. Pu Lalthansanga expressed the government’s vision of fostering self-reliance and encouraged the students to embrace it.

The ceremony was chaired by MZP Serchhip Headquarters Adviser Pu Kapliana Pachuau. Other notable speakers included Pu C. Lalhmingsanga, AGS, MZP General Headquarters, and Pu Vanlalchhunga, Adviser, MZP Headquarters, Serchhip. The Secretary of MZP Headquarters, Serchhip, also presented a report during the event.

A total of 45 Mizo students were awarded for their outstanding academic performance. Among them, K. Lalrindiki from the Department of Chemistry, who secured the 4th rank, Lalrampari, who achieved the 9th rank, and Zomuansanga from Goodwill English Academy, who passed the Mizoram University Examination with distinction, were specially honored. Marian High School was also lauded for achieving a 100% pass rate in the results.
