Shri.  Kesavan R, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Siaha handed over Turmeric Slicer, which he acquired free of cost from his friend Shri.Vikram Mittal of the Mittal Company Limited, to VC members of Chheihlu, a  Village known for its turmeric growing zeals at his office chamber, here in Siaha; today.

Shri.Kesevan R and Shri.B.Lalchhawntluanga,PD,DRDA,Siaha jointly put forth their all out efforts  to increase farmers' income under Vandhan Mission by value addition to presently cultivated cash crops of Siaha district by acquiring Organic Certification, once this certification is done; then farmers' income will be increased to three or four folds. For instance, Chilli Powder not duely certified  as organic one was sells at Rs.700/- per KG, however if it was certified as Organic one, then it will be sold at Rs.1500 and above per KG.To acquire organic certification, one has to spend Rs.27000/28000/- for one variety of cash crop otherwise.

Apart from this, taking the lead from his predecessors Shri.Bhupesh Chaudhary, IAS, Shri.Kesavan R, is trying hard to acquire needful social assets from Big Comapany's CSR Fund and he already has some achievements in this front too. It is heard that 2 Ambulances were  already acquired from Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Kotdwar, Uttarankhand and it is expected to reach Siaha soon.
