Aizawl, the 29th March,2022: Shri Lalsangliana,District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner of Siaha district published Final Electoral Roll for an ensuing MDC Election under Mara Autonomous District Council, here at Siaha, today.

Speaking at Final E /Roll publishing event, Shri Lalsangliana advocated that Free and Fair Election stems from pure Electoral Roll, and opined that Free and Fair Election is the bedrock of Democracy.
DEO Profusely thanked Election Officer &Staff, EROs &AEROs, VCs,BLOs NGOs, representatives of Various political parties and all those who were involved in preparation of Final E/Roll and congratulated them on its successful publication. He also made a fervent request to all NGOs, Political Parties,VCs, and officials for their full cooperation and unflinching supports towards a strive for Free and Fair Election in an ensuing MADC Election.

There are 25 MDC (Member of District Council) constituencies under Mara Autonomous District Council and 81 Polling Stations.Taking 01/01/2022 as qualifying date, a total of 42326 voters, comprising 20366 male voters and 21960 female voters are there in the Final E/Roll.

23/Siaha East-II MDC constituency has largest number of Voters and it has 2808 voters, and 15/Amotlah constituency has the least number of voters and it has 1049 voters. There is a difference of 1759 voters between these two Constituencies and these voters number exceeded voters of 19 individual constituency. After thorough scrutiny of Claims &Objections, there were 1398 voters deletion and 712 voters addition from and to Draft E/Roll, and the Final outcome of Draft E/Roll called Final E/Roll has lesser voters by 686 voters than that of Draft E/Roll published earlier.

DEO &DC Shri Lalsangliana handed over both Hard and soft copy each to the representatives of various Political parties.

Today's Final E/Roll publishing function was well attended by Representatives of Various political parties,various NGOs leaders and concerned officials.
