Siaha; the 25th April,2022: Samagra Shiksha,Siaha district distributed Free Text book to 11260 students comprising Students of Government run 124 Primary and 86 Middle schools within Siaha district, here at Siaha, today.

A brief flagging off & distribution of Free text books programme was held at the courtyard of Gov't Higher Secondary School, and presided over by Shri.Pu C.Lalbiakzauva,DEO & DPC Samagra Shiksha and Shri. Lalsangliana, Deputy Commissioner & Chairman District Education Committee graced the function as Chief Guest and distributed free text books to some students of nearby schools and flagged off vehicles carrying Free text books to be distributed across the district as well.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri. Lalsangliana stated that Education is an all round development and creator of good citizens, and text books are the bedrock of Education. Since the past few decades, Government had been distributing free text books to students of Government run schools, apart from proving school building and other necessary materials, and this is truly a shining epitome of Democratic country. He sincerely hoped and wished that the free text books distributed to the students may contribute hugely towards their becoming of knowledgeable and good citizens.

Of the 11260 recipient students,6398 students belong to 124 Primary Schools and 4862 belong to 86 Middle schools. Three 3 text books each (for Three Subjects) were given to Class-I,II&III students and Four text books each were given to Class-IV,V,VI,VII &VIII students. 929 students belonging to Myanmar Refugees community were also amongst free text books recipients.
