Mount Carmel school celebrates their champion in the 11th Mizoram Inter school Basketball Tournament 2019 at Vanapa Hall on 30th October 2019 where Mr Robert Romawia Royte, Minister of State for Sports & Youth Services Department attended the function as chief guest and Mr Lalthanzauva, Principal, Greenland Higher Secondary School, the guest of honour.

The sport minister congratulates the Mount Carmel School Basketball team on being the champion of the 11th Mizoram Inter School Basketball tournament 2019 mentioning that besides the school splendid academic records they have proved it yet again that their performance on sports is no less. The minister encouraged the students to play active part in sports and other physical activities as it will help them stay mentally sound and active in their studies as well. The minister highlighted on the initiatives taken under the sport department, stating that the state will shortly organised Mizoram State Games which will motivate the youth to take part in various sport disciplines which are no longer popular in the state.

Mr Lalnunkunga Sailo, Principal, Mount Carmel School also declared that the champion Basketball team player will continue their studies free of cost till they complete their education in the school.
