Pu R Lalzirliana today graced the Silver Jubilee celeberation of Students' Self Support Union (SSU) at Chanmari YMA Hall as the chief guest while Pu Lalrinmawia Ralte, Parliamentary Secretary was the guest of honour.

Addressing a gathering of High School and College students, the Chief Guest encouraged the students to be honest, sincere and free from the vices of hypocricy, hunger for fame and money. He lauded the SSU's motto of hard work, self-support and sufficiency and that if they live up to their motto, success will wait for them at the end. "Students of today are leaders of  tomorrow, hence you should learn to think ahead for the benefit of Mizoram", he said.

Pu Lalrinmawia Ralte, Parliamentary Secretary also spoke at the function congratulating the SSU's successful completion of 25 years. Qouting the famous phrase 'God helps those who helps themselves', he reminded the students that success is impossible to attain without hardwork.

This Association founded by C.Lalhluna, a 1st Year B.Com Student of Hrangbana College and his friends on 27th May 1985, SSU is now established in almost all the Colleges  and Higher Secondary School of Mizoram.
