Lawngtlai, 29th April 2025: In persuance of the declaration of HSLC Results 2025, by Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) Shri. Cheemala Siva Gopal Reddy, IAS,  Deputy Commissioner, Lawngtlai had issued the following statement.

The Mizoram Board of School Education has today, the 29th of April 2025, declared the results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2025. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the students of Lawngtlai District who have successfully cleared the examination. I wish them all the very best in their future academic and professional pursuits.

For those students who could not clear the examination this time, I urge you not to lose heart. The School Education Department is ready to extend support through additional and remedial classes. I encourage all such students to make use of these opportunities and prepare themselves to reappear with renewed determination and confidence. I sincerely hope to see every one of you succeed in the next examination.

This year, Lawngtlai District has recorded a pass percentage of 56.19%, which marks a notable improvement from last year's 49.97%. This positive development reflects the hard work and commitment of students, teachers, school leaders, and the entire educational support system.

A special mention must be made of the following six schools which achieved 100% pass percentage in the 2025 HSLC Examination:

1.Baptist Mission School, Longpuighat
2. Don Bosco School, Bualpui (NG)
3. Govt. Bungtlang South High School
4. Hmawngbu High School
5.Shalom English Academy, Bualpui (NG)
6. Synod Home Mission School, Bungtlang South

The number of schools achieving 100% pass rate has increased from 2 to 6, and the number of schools with zero pass percentage has decreased from 5 to 2, compared to last year. This is a significant achievement, and I take this opportunity to congratulate the management, teachers, and students of these schools.

I would also like to recognize and applaud Miss Bini Chakma of New Angel Public School, Kamalanagar, who secured the highest marks in the Hindi subject in the entire state. Her accomplishment brings great pride to Lawngtlai District and is a shining example of what our students can achieve with dedication and proper guidance.

This progress would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of the School Education Department, Lawngtlai district which organized special classes in selected schools in Chawngte and Lawngtlai town. These interventions have had a noticeable impact on results. I also wish to acknowledge the District Education Committee members for their consistent school inspections and valuable contributions through regular meetings.

The support and involvement of civil society and NGOs have also played a crucial role, especially in taking special interest in the development of certain schools. I sincerely thank them for their dedication to improving education in our district.

While we celebrate this improvement, our journey does not end here. Let us now set our collective sights on achieving a pass percentage of over 90% in the coming years. With commitment, collaboration, and continuous efforts, I believe this goal is within our reach.

I propose that we deliberate further and chart out our action plan in the next District Education Committee meeting.

Thank you and best wishes to all.

Deputy Commissioner, Lawngtlai District
