Kolasib dated 6th August 2021: With the surge in Covid-19 positive case in Kolasib district several localities have started managing their own Covid-19 Care Centre to quarantine and monitor Covid-19 patients within their areas. These Centres are primarily run by the Village Level Task Force of the locality, where only asymptomatic Covid-19 are admitted for quarantine.
The Minister in his inaugural speech iterated the importance of adapting to the Covid-19 appropriate behaviour, starting from every household, in order to better cope with the pandemic. Minister K.Lalrinliana also lauded the members of the Village Level Task Force, Khungpuilam, Kolasib district for their selfless act of establishing Community Covid Care Centre for the well-being of the community, handing them Rs.10,000 and 2 bags of rice to be utilised in managing the 4C, as token of appreciation.
The Khuangpuilam 4C has the capacity of accommodating 21 male, 22 female and a separate room to house a family of 10 members. Internet facilities will be provided and a space for physical exercise is also arranged for the inmates.
The Supply Minister also visited 6 other Community Covid Care Centre within Kolasib town, donating 2 bags of rice and Rs.10,000 each. The Minister also attended a meeting with the land owners of the proposed Rail-fed Oil Depot at Bairabi.
