Tourism Minister Pu Robert Romawia Royte graced the 1st State Level Festival Hodaigri Festival at Tuipuibari.

The two day long Bru tribe festival for the first harvest was inaugurated by the Toursim Minister of Mizoram Pu Robert Romawia Royte on the 23rd of October, 2019. The Minister on his inaugural speech offered his best wishes to all those who celebrated the Hodaigri Festival.  Embracing the Mizo traditions, religions and culture Pu Robert Romawia Royte also stated that it is not the nature of a Mizo to take innocent lives of other tribes even though many Mizos have lost their lives in the hands of others. He urged the Bru tribes to acknowledge the services rendered to them by the Mizo people in the field of education, religions and others. He also stated that with respect for each other, the tribe must live peacefully without any obstacles.

The Hadaigri Festival was also graced by Er. H.Lalzirliana, MLA Mamit and Pu Pramod Riang, MLA Tripura. Both the guests stressed on the importance of communal harmony and the need to co-operate with the Government for their upliftment.

The festival was celebrated for the first time with funding from the Central Government and was well attended by delegates from Mizoram, Assam and Tripura .
