Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Mizoram in collaboration with National Health Mission (NHM) today conducted training on ‘Drugs and Vaccine Distribution Management System (DVDMS)’  at I&PR Conference Hall, CHANEM, Champhai.

Dr. Mary Zohmingliani, State Nodal Officer (SNO), DVDMS, Pu P.C Laltlanzuala, Programme Manager, DVDMS and Pu Zoremmuana Khiangte DEO, DVDMS were the resource persons, who introduced and imparted  different topics on ‘Drugs and Vaccine Distribution Management System’ followed by practical application.

Drugs and Vaccine Distribution Management System (DVDMS) is a software platform having details of Drugs and Vaccine Supply Chain Management. Purchase order, Inventory management, Vaccine Supply Chain Management and drugs distribution all come under the ambit of DVDMS. It aims to provide affordable and sufficient amount of drugs, vaccines and other required items to all public health facilities.

To begin with, Drugs and Vaccine Distribution Management System will be first used at CMO Office, District Hospital, CHC and PHC level. Today’s training was attended by Dr. P.B Zodingliana SMO Champhai, concerned Medical Officers, Staff Nurses, Pharmacists and Block Accounts Managers within CMO Champhai jurisdiction.
