A 5-day training on poultry rearing and management jointly organised by Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Lawngtlai District; State Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), Mizoram and MANAGE Hyderabad was inaugurated today at BNRGSK Hall, Lawngtlai by Dr Andrew H. Vanlaldika, Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, ATMA Governing Board.

The inaugural function was chaired by Dr Benjamin Lalduhawma, Project Director, ATMA, Lawngtlai District. Besides a speech from the Chief Guest, Pu Lalnunzuala, Block Technology Manager gave a brief report on achievement of ATMA Lawngtlai District. Farmers' Award for Lawngtlai District in the form of citation and cash incentive for farmers, Self Help Group and farmer friends was also distributed.

This training was organised under Skill Training of Rural Youth (STRY). It aimed to impart technical know-how on scientific method of poultry and its management to the rural youth. It was participated by youth farmers under Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Lawngtlai District.
