Transport Minsiter Pu TJ Lalnuntluanga graced the 47th Aizawl City Bus Owners’ Association General Assembly held today at Synod Conference Hall, Aizawl.

Expressing his gratitude to the ACBOA for their continuous support and cooperation, Pu TJ Lalnuntluanga urged leaders and members of the Association to lend their thoughts and suggestions regarding the Government’s initiative to revamp urban transport in Aizawl City under the Smart City Project. He reminded the gathering that city buses should maintain a high standard in cleanliness, showing courtesy towards passengers and diligently following rules and etiquettes of driving. The Transport Minister said that his department is working to resolve problems faced by Aizawl City Buses while obtaining Special Road Permit. To curtail hassles of cash payment, the Department had already signed an agreement with the State Bank of India to enable online transaction, he said.

The programme was chaired by the President of ACBOA , Pu Malsawma Chuauhang. General Secretary Pu Lalhmachhuana Pachuau gave reports of the Association’s activities which was followed by finance report and action taken report by the acting Finance Secretary and Assistant Secretary of the Action Committee.
