Aizawl 24th August, 2021: A new building of District Transport Office Lawngtlai was inaugurated by Transport Minister Pu TJ Lalnuntluanga today at Lawngtlai.

The inaugural function was also graced by Pu H. Biakzaua, MLA, Vice Chairman, Agriculture Development Board as a Guest of Honour; Er H. Lalzirliana, MLA, Vice Chairman, Road & Infrastructure Development Board and Pu Manghmung Chinzah, Chief Executive Member of the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC). It was attended by members of LADC, officials from Transport Department and other departments in the District.

In this function chaired by Er R. Lalrammawia, Director of Transport Department, Additional DC Pi Marilyn Rualzakhumthangi delivered a welcome speech. Er R. Zirsangliana, Executive Engineer, PWD Building Project Division, Lunglei gave a technical report and District Transport Officer Pi B. Malsawmtluangi proposed a vote of thanks.

DTO office Lawngtlai was constructed with Rs 228 lakh from NEDP. The work was started on 20th June, 2016 and completed on 31st January, 2020. It has four storeys and its total plinth area measures 658.81 square metres.
