Tree Plantation Drive by Aizawl Battalion Assam Rifles

Aizawl, the 6th July 2020 : Aizawl Battalion under the aegis of 23 Sect Assam Rifles / IGAR (East) conducted a 'Tree Plantation Drive'

A tree plantation drive was carried out at Zokhawsang in close coordination with the Environment, Forest & Climate Change Department on 4th and 6th of July with the aim to achieve a harmonious balance between needs of rapid urbanization and environmental concern. A total of 1000 saplings of various varieties have been planted. It was a successful event in which soldiers along with their families participated .To ensure the survival of the plants , the ownership of the plants is being entrusted to the individuals who planted the trees.
