Two Days State Mourning as a mark of respect on the passing away of Kumari Lata Mangeshkar

Aizawl, 6th February, 2022 : The Government of Mizoram has learnt with profound sorrow the sad demise of Kumari Lata Mangeshkar, at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai on 6th February, 2022.

As instructed by Ministry of Home Affairs, the Government of Mizoram have decided that as a mark of respect to the departed dignitary, 2 (two) days state mourning will be observed on 06.02.2022 (Sunday) & 07.02.2022 (Monday).

During the state mourning, the National Flag will be flown at half-mast on 06.02.2022 & 07.02.2022 throughout Mizoram and there will be no official entertainment.
