Dated Khawzawl, 14th May, 2026 : Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (CAF&PD), Smt. Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya, who is on a visit to Khawzawl District from 14th–16th May, 2026, arrived at Khawzawl today at 6:30 pm. The Union Minister of State was was received at the Tourist Lodge by Khawzawl Deputy Commissioner Pu K. Vanlalthiana and Heads of Offices within Khawzawl, where she was accorded a warm welcome with Khuallam, a traditional Mizo dance performed in honour of esteemed guests.

On 15th May, the Union Minister of State will visit important government establishments and various developmental activities being implemented under different schemes within Khawzawl town along with government officials. On 16th May, arrangements have also been made for her to review government developmental activities in Chawngtlai and Khawhai villages.
