Dated Hnahthial, the 2nd June 2025: The Union Minister of State for Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Shri Ajay Tamta paid a visit to Hnahthial District inspecting the Samagra Shikha funded Higher Secondary School building as well as the NESIDS funded Hnahthial District Hospital currently under construction. After the inspection, an interaction session was held at DC Conference hall where implementation of various central schemes within Hnahthial District were reviewed.

The Union Minister of State, upon visiting the ongoing works of the Higher Secondary school Science cum Commerce stream building, inquired about the details of the building and asked if anything was hindering their progress. The District Education Officer, Pu H. Sangthanga informed the Minister of the building details saying that construction of classrooms for the Science stream has been completed and 60% has been completed for Commerce stream.

After his visit to the school, Shir Ajay Tamta visted the District Hospital and the various wards inquiring on the needs of the Hospital. He then inspected the ongoing works of the NESIDS funded 50 bedded District Hospital.

An interaction and review session of the various schemes implemented within Hnahthial District was held at DC Conference Hall chaired by Pu Zothanmawia Khiangte, Addl DC. A powerpoint presentation was screened by Pu R. Vanlalruata, SDC on the various schemes followed by an interaction session between the Minister and the concerned department officials on the respective central schemes implemented under them.

The Union Minister of State left Hnahthial for Aizawl after the interaction session from where he plans to return to New Delhi by tomorrow evening.
