A vigilance Week, 2019 and vigilance awareness programme is observed today at DC Conference Hall at Serchhip.

The function is presided by Pi R. Lalmuankimi, Superintendent, DC Office and Pu Chuauhnuna, Addl. DC deliver an inaugural speech for the week. In his speech, he expressed his sincere thanks to the representatives of Vigilance Department for the programme in Serchhip and request the attendants to give their earnest response to their presentation. The govenrment servant is abide by a lot of government rules and direction for maintenance of tranparency, accountability and  corruption free in the governance. It is our responsibility to be acquainted with those rules and align with directions, Vigilance and its belongings are the most essentials of them, he added. Under his guidance, the attendants take a Vigilance Pledge together and the  theme of 2019 Week is “Integrity - A way of Life”

In this programme, Pu Zosangliana, Dy. SP, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) give his presentation on Vigilance and its related activities such as; compulsory submission of annual property returns, regulations on gratification (gift) for government servant, complain against government servasnt on disproportionate of assets, violation of official position and other corresponding matters of corruption. He also explained the works of ACB, Lokayukta and their interrelation, how to submit complain/FIR into ACB and Lokayukta and how do they proceed inquiry on the case, etc. Since Lokayukta is established in Mizoram, 5 cases have been registered and the Lokayukta refer the cases to take further enquiry to the ACB as per its rules, one of them has been completed so far and refer back to the lokayukta for final action till today. Pu Zosangliana is accompanied by Pu Lalremsiama, Inspector, ACB from Aizawl.

The fucntion is attended by Mr. R Sathyasundaram, SP Serchhip, head of offices in Serchhip, Journalists, representatives of NGOs and selected students from Government Serchhip College and Pu Ramfangzauva, Dy. SP seal up the function by vote of thanks.
