Siaha; the 1st December,2022: District AIDS Prevention & Control Committee,Siaha district organized an observance of World AIDS Day-2022 at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School's Hall, here in Siaha, today.

To commemorate WORLD AIDS DAY-2022, a brief function was held, which was followed suit by On the Spot Painting Competition which is organized for Students of Higher Secondary School, High School and Middle School.

Above said brief Function was presided over by Pi Lalnunmawii,Addl.DC and AIDS prevention & control topic was explained at length through a power point presentation by the CMO's office staff. Pu Lalsangliana, DC & Chairman of District AIDS Prevention & Control Committee and Pu VL.Lura Hauzel,SP Siaha delivered speeches on AIDS prevention and Control to commemorate the World AIDS Day-2022.

Dr.Lalnunziri,CMO concluded today's brief function with a proposal of vote of thanks.

Theme of On the Spot Painting for Higher Secondary Students was Condom use vs Contraceptive Pills for HIV Prevention and themes for High School &Middle School were Harmful effect of sharing Needles and Syringes  and How to Say 'No to Drugs' respectively. Cash prizes of Rs.1000,Rs.700 and Rs.500  each were awarded to the 1st,2nd and 3rd Prize winners from each category. Students of Higher Secondary School used Wax Crayon for painting while Students of High School and Middle School used Pencil Colours for their painting.
